Upholstery

All of our upholstery is done in house. Our upholsterer has over 30 years experience with many different styles of furniture. Not all of the upholstery pieces we do are antiques; we also work on more modern pieces.  Another part of our business is making cushions for outdoor furniture and boats.

Eastlake style settee – The old upholstery was removed completely some loose joints were re-glued.  The seat has 8 way hand tied springs, the traditional horse hair with cotton covering and finally covered in a pretty tapestry type fabric to make a very comfortable and beautiful piece.

Victorian Sofa – c. 1860 - The frame of this sofa was rather delicate. We re-enforced the joints with extra glue blocks.  The upholstery was done in a traditional manor. The inside back has diamond tufting.  This was a very time consuming project, but is a beautiful family piece to be used and enjoyed.
