About UsFrank learned woodworking while in school and has been in the woodworking field in the Chestertown Maryland area since 1983. He builds reproduction antique furniture from the Garbisch Collection. Frank also builds his original designs as well as specializing in repairing antiques and refinishing furniture. Brad is a local artisan who has been building furniture for many years as well as doing repair and restoration work. He also does cane, rush and other types of woven seats. Rhonda follows a family tradition of woodworking. She does much of the stripping and refinishing work. Among other things, she does lathe work and assists in the wood and upholstery shops at times. Bob, our upholsterer has some 28 years experience in his field. He does modern furniture as well as antiques. Bob is one of only a relative few who specializes in faithful l7th & l8th century upholstery techniques using only tacks, horsehair and other traditional materials when re-upholstering antiques. Lori specializes in finishing, building ,and carving fine furniture. She gives much attention to conservation and restoration of antiques. Doris keeps the books, the office and the shop organized. She has been helping us with office work for a number of years.
